An Antiquated Shoot

For my own personal training, I have challenged myself to take a photo a day for 31 days, converting it to black and white and posting it on my challenge blog http://www.31photosin31days.blogspot.com/.  I had asked my facebook friends to give me random words that I could be inspired by for the photos.  One of the words was antiques.  So yesterday, I visited our local antique mall and took all kinds of photos (with permission from the proprietor).  The store itself was jammed with all sorts of stuff...not all antiques, but stuff desirable to just the right buyer.  I was overwhelmed with the possibilities, and confined to the paths through the layout of the store...items stuffed in corners, nooks and crannies!

(above...one of my personal favorites)

Uh oh!!  Then I turned the corner and there it was...a little red enamelware warming pot just like the one I had at home, but in much better condition.  It was only $12.  I love my little red pot at home that is used to keep moisture in the air, setting on top of our insert.  How could I justify buying something we already have?  But it was in better condition, only $12, it was red (my favorite color) and I loved it, and I'm pretty sure it was loving me back.  Honest, I'm sure of it!!!

"Honey, this little red enamelware warming pot is going to look great in Odessa (our retro 1971 travel trailer Cliff is rebuilding)!!!"  =o)
